Swedish Early 19th C. Karl Johan Clock Cabinet with Original Paint & Clock Face

This unique Swedish clock cabinet of the Karl Johan period from circa 1820 is much more than just a timepiece. With two drawers and shelves hidden behind four reeded doors and its original yam colored paint, this cabinet is perfect for a pantry, a dining room, a powder room or just about anywhere. Two centuries after its manufacture, the bonnet pediment surrounding the clock face is still stylish and the original paint still vibrant. This clock retains it's original metal face, hands and movement. The clock is currently not in working condition but can be quartzed for an additional cost. A quartz battery would then be added behind the face. The original hands are too heavy to carry the quartz movement, so they would be changed to black hands, similar in style. The clock would then chime (the chime can be turned off even though the sound is quite delightful). The Karl Johan period is the one that follows the Gustavian period in Sweden.
