About the Item

This beautifully crafted Swedish Rococo writing desk is a distinguished piece of Stockholm workmanship from the 1760s-70s. The desk features gracefully curved legs and three finely vaulted drawers, which open with the accompanying key. The key escutcheons are made of gilded bronze in early Rococo forms. The top is later fitted with leather, adorned with gilded edges.
