About the Item

We present this elegant antique Italian desk dating back to the first half of the 19th century, during the Charles X era. This exquisite desk, whose features suggest it was crafted in the cabinetmaking workshops of northern Italy, is a testament to elegance and sophistication. Crafted from fine solid walnut in a light, honey-colored hue, it features a linear design embellished with subtle yet refined turned decorations that create a distinctive visual accent on each side. Functionally, it features three convenient drawers on the front and two side compartments with internal shelves. Its most unusual feature is the top that folds open to reveal a leatherette-lined surface, perfect for writing or consulting documents. Inside, you'll find four small drawers embellished with gilded bronze knobs. You can certainly consider placing this exquisite desk in any room of your home; you can carry out your office work without sacrificing the elegance of your decor. Wherever you choose to place it, it will become a focal point, admired and envied by all your guests. Its elegant simplicity makes it perfect for both classic and modern furnishings. The desk is in excellent condition. The writing surface is 31.49 inches (80 cm) high.
