Exceptional condition for this English secretaire/chest/desk of George I period. The finish in figured burl walnut adds aesthetic beauty to the history of this piece acquired by Cosulich Interiors & Antiques from a collector in Yorkshire. Georgian wood furniture never forgets functionality, with a flap revealing an interior with a large writing surface and fitted with long and short drawers, a central door flanked by two pillars revealing secret hiding spaces, typical of that age. With original back. Measures: Open depth 34.25 in Height of the writing surface 28.6.
