About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this exceptional pair of fully restored, Regency circa 1810-1820, Walnut & Brown leather Daveport desk side table bookcases
These are the only pair of Daveports I have ever seen this size, designed as open library bookshelves with Daveport tops, they have been fully restored to include having new brown leather gold leaf embossed writing surfaces fitted, the tables have been washed back and French polished from the ground up, being sure to keep all the original patina. The have bronze gallery rails which is always a nice feature
They are super decorative and look expensive and important in any setting. They are an almost perfect pair, one is 1cm smaller and has a different middle gallery rail support as you can see in the pictures

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
