French Escritoire Desk Mahogany Antique Chest
About the Item
This rather imposing escritoire stands upon turned feet.
The bottom panelled doors open to reveal an inner oak lined drawer.
The writing section having a drop down fall with a leather writing surface and an arrangement off drawers and pigeon holes above which there is a single oak lined drawer.
circa 1860
the escritoire having a marble top and a pierced brass gallery.
The whole of the piece having brass mouldings columns etc.
Presented in good condition.
