About the Item
Made in France. A Louis XV style desk with brown tooled leather shaped top and brass banded edge with shell form mounts on the corners. The dark wood frame with lighter wood for the three front apron drawer panels with their brass egg-and-dart trim. Matching faux drawers on the back side, and complementary shaped panels on the sides. Raised on tall cabriole legs with brass floral trim and sabots. Baroque style brass pulls.
Dimensions: Length 40", depth 22", height 31 1/2"
Condition: There is some age and use wear to the edges of the drawer compartments (please see photos) as well as some scrapes and nicks inside the leg edges, some scratches to the leather top, verdigris and aging on the brass, but presenting in a particularly fine French manner.
