A late 18th century George III tambour writing desk in mahogany, featuring a roll-top tambour door that opens to a fitted interior with drawers and pigeonholes. The pull-out writing surface includes a green leather writing slope and rests above two deep drawers with brass pulls. The case stands on square tapered legs with brass caps and castors. Dovetailed drawer construction and inlaid detailing reflect the craftsmanship of the period.
