About the Item
Handsome vintage Scandinavian Modern teak roll top desk or dresser. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. It has some visible wear, particularly in the top, so you can see some scratches and dings. And it has a newly modified recessed black painted base as it encountered water at some point in its life and could not be refinished so we revamped it, modified, and painted the base black. There are some small rings on the desktop. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Mid-20th Century.

This is a very handsome smaller roll top desk comprised of teak featuring a fabulous solid curved roll top door that when opened, exposes a flat top desk surface and a large open workspace. It has three large drawers below the roll top with a keyhole and applied wood handles, and it has a newly modified doweled, pinned, and recessed black painted base. It had encountered water at some point in its life and could not be refinished BUT it was just too beautiful to let go, SO, we revamped it. And… it looks incredible!! It is a perfect place for using a laptop, stashing your mail, doing your homework, or filled with clothing and accessories if used as a dresser. Its diminutive size makes it perfect for smaller living spaces, home office, a bedroom, or dressing area. It exhibits versatility, functionality, and it bears a marvelous quintessential Scandinavian Modern design. What are you waiting for? Make it YOURS!!!
