Gorgeous vintage Scandinavian Modern Svegards Markaryd teak roll top secretary desk or dresser with original key attributed to Egon Ostergaard. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. We filled and touched up a spot on top where some veneer was missing. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. circa, Mid-20th century. Well here it is…. the perfect desk for your home! Tagged by Svegards Markaryd and attributed to Egon Ostergaard, this teak rolltop secretary desk is comprised of three full-width drawers below a gorgeous diamond patterned teak veneer rolltop with keyhole. (We will include the original skeleton key.) Above the rolltop is a shelf with marvelous vertical woodgrain where you can place decorative items, framed photographs, or foliage. The stunning rolltop covers three small drawers with black Bakelite pulls, three open cubbies, and a pullout workspace. It is a perfect place for using a laptop, stashing your mail, or clothing and accessories if used as a dresser. Its diminutive Size makes it perfect for smaller living spaces, home office, a bedroom, or dressing area. The three drawer fronts have gorgeous teak veneer with horizontal grain and self-rimmed recessed wood handles and a keyhole on the top drawer. It stands beautifully upon four tapered square legs, exhibits versatility and functionality, and it bears a quintessential Scandinavian Modern design. What are you waiting for? Make it YOURS!!! Handsome vintage Scandinavian Modern teak roll top desk or dresser. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. It has some visible wear, particularly in the top, so you can see some scratches and dings. And it has a newly modified recessed black painted base as it encountered water at some point in its life and could not be refinished so we revamped it, modified, and painted the base black.
