About the Item

Lovely original Victorian solid mahogany twin pedestal double sided partner desk Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, for an accurate quote please send me your postcode and I’ll price it up for you This desk is one of the original period Victorian examples, its one solid piece so doesn’t split into three like the modern reproductions, the legs are on a base frame and they can be unscrewed if needs be, by unscrewed I mean there are screws holding the our legs which are on a mounted frame, if you take out the screws you lose around 20cm from the height of the desk The desk is double sided as all the period originals were, you have normal drawers on the bosses side and then twin cupboards and a central drawer on the other partner or secretary side Condition wise is period correct, the Mahogany has a lovely worn patina throughout, the blue leather writing surface was new a few years ago so is in good order We have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished the desk from top to bottom Dimensions Height:- 78cm Width:- 152.5cm Depth:- 91.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid CONDITION Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please also ask any questions before you bid and not after, all of our items are sold as seen and as listed Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade
