About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning and very rare hand carved solid oak Dutch Library office suite, circa 1940 This suite was hand made by a master craftsman in Bruges Belgium for a very successful Architect. Its a complete Library suite which includes the double sided heavily carved partners desk, matching original upholstery brown leather chair, side table, large hutch cupboard and huge triple bank full sized library bookcase, all other pieces are listed under my other items The bookcase is a really good find, it totally dismantles for ease of transport as you can see in the last picture, all the shelves are all height adjustable and or removable so there are no restrictions on the height of the book you wish to place. The table was being used next to the desk as a side table and or secretary desk, its great size and very utilitarian. The cupboard comes complete with all four keys, two medium sized top cupboards and two large base cupboards This desk is as you can see double sided meaning it’s a true partners desk, the idea being your “business partner” or secretary would sit opposite you. You have an arrangement of drawers and cupboards on both sides, I have the shelves for each cupboard as well however they are not pictured The desk easily dismantles into three main pieces, you have the two side pedestals and the desk top, those are the main sections, you also have the two middle drawers.
