Rare, wonderful and practical, Gothic Revival desk cabinet with a great patina.
If you like Gothic Revival furniture then we are certain you will like this very rare and good quality made, hand-carved Gothic desk. This practical size specimen comes with numerous and very attractive, Gothic elements. The church-window-like panels on either side and the Gothic quatrefoil symbol in the middle probably are the best known Gothic symbols/paterns. What makes this oak desk extra practical is the lid with which she can be opened and closed. This complete desk with a large drawer, a cabinet with doors underneath and several compartments inside, will only take up very little space. Both the solid oak and the inlaid green felt have grown a beautiful and natural patina that will never fail to impress. With a stylish table lamp on top you will be able to sit down comfortably behind this desk and write your letters or surf the internet on your notebook. Furtermore, this quality made piece stands as strong and stable as the day it was hand-crafted and it will do so for at least another 100 years. Have you also noticed the unique pear-shaped bronze handles with the fluer de lis symbols inside? To us, this is proof that this stylish Gothic antique is of French origin. Apart from a few minor imperfections, this almost antique desk is in very good condition (both inside and out) and we expect that it will be gracing a new owner's home or office soon. Especially at our price.
