About the Item
Elegante scrivania veneta di area vicentina, databile ai primissimi anni dell’Ottocento, in pieno periodo Direttorio. Il mobile si distingue per la linearità delle forme, la sobria eleganza e la qualità dell’esecuzione artigianale. La struttura, realizzata in abete, è rivestita in noce e si presenta solida e compatta, con gambe sagomate e proporzioni equilibrate (larghezza 119 cm, profondità 58 cm, altezza 82 cm). Il piano superiore è incorniciato da un raffinato motivo perimetrale decorativo a stecca intarsiata, eseguito con essenze lignee differenti accostate con grande maestria. La facciata si articola in modo simmetrico: al centro un ampio cassetto, sovrastato da un pratico tiretto estraibile sottopiano; ai lati due piccoli cassetti superiori e due sportelli sottostanti che celano vani capienti. Gli interni, sobri ma funzionali, conservano l’impostazione originaria e la patina del tempo. L’insieme si presenta molto robusto e integro, adatto tanto all’uso quanto all’inserimento in ambienti di gusto classico o eclettico. Una testimonianza autentica dell’ebanisteria veneta di inizio XIX secolo.
