Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this stunning restored late Victorian Great Western Railways stamped double sided twin pedestal partner desk with extra legroom Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price A truly stunning and exquisitely made piece, this desk has the GWR stamped on the right pedestal, it has a leather top which has been washed back, hand dyed six times, antiqued and sealed, its now in better than new condition. The front side of the desk has eight drawers and the rear two large cupboards, these desks were designed for two "partners" to share or perhaps a manager and their secratary / assistant My favorite feature of the desk is that it doesn't have the middle top drawer, being tall myself legroom is important to me and this piece offers huge amounts of height and width, it also means almost any office chair will tuck completely into the legroom space Condition we have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished the timber, the idea being to maintian all the original age and use related patina, the leather top has been restored as detailined above The desk splits into three easy to transport pieces Dimensions Height:- 81cm Width:- 183cm Depth:- 99cm Legroom height:- 76cm knee width Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
