Victorian walnut kidney writing table
This Victorian walnut kidney writing table was made circa 1870.
It is of a dramatic kidney shape with the top in burr walnut and a good deep thuya wood banding and purple heart running around the edge.
The body and drawers also have panels of the exotic thuya wood.
It has a pair of fluted tapering supports down to the supports below that have attractive inlays and panels of thuya.
The drawers are lined in birch.
This Victorian walnut kidney writing table can be used for many uses, it was made as a versatile item and so could be used as a dressing table, a centre piece for a bay window.
