Edwardian Chippendale style pedestal desk.
This Edwardian Chippendale style pedestal desk was made circa 1900.
A sumptuous desk of this type gives a room or office a feeling of stature and a richness.
The desk splits into 3 parts to allow easy transportation around your home or office.
Having the Chippendale influence of the well carved claw and ball feet, the blind fret to the corners, as well as the wonderful gadrooned edging around the top.
The breakfront allows you to sit closer to the work surface as well as adds to the overall attractive shape.
It is fitted the usual drawer formation with the 9 drawers, all with the original cast brass handles.
The original green leather inset writing surface, that has gilt tooling, is set in 3 panels the largest panel in the centre.
