English Edwardian Chippendale mahogany desk

About the Item

Edwardian Chippendale mahogany desk This Edwardian Chippendale mahogany desk was made circa 1910. The cabinetmaker took inspiration from the designs of Thomas Chippendale. Using the classic carved cariole legs ending on claw and ball feet with concealed castors under, and the blind fret to the side of the drawers. Having a pair of mahogany lined drawers to each side of the kneehole and a further 2 wide drawers above, all fitted with the original brass swing handles. The top has the inset gilt tooled leather writing surface. The rear is finished and polished so that this can be used in the centre of the room. Imagine this in your home or office and how special it will look, as well as giving you plenty of working area and drawer capacity.
