Handsome MCM (a.k.a. Mid-Century Modern) vintage Scandinavian Modern drop front desk or secretary in a box. It is in wonderful vintage condition. There has been a small repair on the right front lower leg. Please see photos, circa mid-late 20th century. Bring on the paperwork!!!! This desk is so awesome when you do your studies, bills, or work it won’t feel like such a chore! This is a Classic teak Mid-Century Modern Scandinavian desk in a box with a fold down shelf. It is full of storage spaces including a large pullout / pull-out drawer which holds the drop-down shelf that converts into a writing table. Behind the drop front there are 9….Yes, I said 9 generous cubby holes!! However, the horizontal shelves slide out so if you prefer you can convert that space into a larger area for more substantial items or customize it however you want! Underneath, there are two large doors that open for even more storage. The perfect amount of space for your printer, file boxes, desktop tower or anything you want!! You don’t have an office, study, or den in your home? That’s ok! The desk is finished on all four sides so it can float anywhere in your home, and it has the useful feature to fold away and hide your mess! Were you in the middle of doing your taxes and now someone is stopping by? No problem! Fold up the tabletop and you have a gorgeous free-standing cabinet and no clutter! It’s like having an office in a box so it would work perfectly for smaller rooms, apartments, or lofts. This desk has it all, it’s handy, it saves space, and it looks fabulous doing it all! It has some visible wear, particularly in the top, so you can see some scratches and dings. And it has a newly modified recessed black painted base as it encountered water at some point in its life and could not be refinished so we revamped it, modified, and painted the base black. Handsome Asian teak hand carved drop slant front desk with interior compartmentalized cubby storage in the style of George Zee and Co. of China. This amazing piece is in fabulous condition. Stunning modern off-white lacquered desk with brass plated details between the drawers and a brass plated toe kick in the style of Milo Baughman, Karl Springer, Lane.
