About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely original Victorian panelled oak Welsh dresser or Library bookcase made by Liberty’s of London with the original stamp to the rear A very well made and highly collectable piece of English country house furniture. Liberty’s retailed some of the finest handmade pieces from all over the world. This piece is as quintessentially English as can be, it can be used in a kitchen dining setting for table settings or in a library setting as a large bookcase. The glass is all original water glass so it has the wonderful ripples, the top section is glazed to the sides so it lets in light from all angles Condition wise, it has been deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished, the glass looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for 100 years or more hence the wonderful state of preservation, we have painstakingly chemically cleaned off the years of dust both inside and out and its now pretty much surgically clean! This piece comes in two easy to transport and install pieces Dimensions Height:- 200.5cm, top section alone 110.5cm base 90cm Width:- 211.5cm top, 206cm bottom Depth:- 44cm top, 55cm base Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
