Canterano in legno intagliato di noce, Lombardia, fine XVII inizi XVIII secolo

Descrizione Canterano in massello di noce di provenienza bergamasca ascrivibile alla bottega dei Fantoni, risalente tra la fine del XVII ed inizi XVIII secolo. Piano in noce di massello con elegante becco di civetta intagliato ad ovuli stilizzati, sottolineato da un fitto intaglio a mitivi geometrici sulla parte anteriore e sui fianchi. Fronte suddiviso in quattro cassetti separati da catene intagliate a susseguenti foglie lanceolate. Ogni cassetto è impreziosito da una riquadratura in rilievo ad intaglio ad ovuli aperti, due formelle sagomate a croce allungate aventi gli originali pomoli di bronzo, altre formelle sagomate e sviluppate in orizzontale intagliate lungo il perimetro a motivo vegetale. Basamento con baciliera riccamente scolpita a squame, poggiante su due sostegni foggiati a rappresentazione di cartelle sagomate.
