Donald Deskey Chest for Charak Modern

Rarely seen design from one of America's preeminent Industrial designers Donald Deskey. Usually associated with the Art Deco and the American Modernist movement of the 1930s and 1940s he continued to design until 1957 with this being his last line of furniture designs in collaboration with Charak Furniture Company in Boston Ma, and put into production in 1960. Made in a small production run, these designs rarely come to market. This eight-drawer cabinet in walnut, with hand-painted Micarta surfaces and cast aluminum handles and legs.
