Dresser "the Groove" Handmade in Organic Design solid wood

$8,700per item

Solid wood chest of drawers "the groove" in organic design. Created by the German carpenter and sculptor Eckehard Weimann. The body is organically worked out, wrinkles and creases look like a crumpled enclosure. The grip section is integrated and makes the object an eye-catcher. This unique work is of course done by hand. The five drawers are guided on high quality metal telescope pull-outs. Surface is oiled. Wood species here maple, other types of wood on request. Each piece is made by hand individually. I am flexible, so adjustments and wishes are possible. In this way I also make customized sideboards for you - see sketches - custom made, please ask for prices

About The Maker

Hoimart - sensual furniture from Germany. The furniture of the German master carpenter and sculptor Eckehard Weimann seem to live. Dead straight and everything strictly in the angle, that's not his thing. The organic forms of his furniture are soft and flowing. Each of his pieces of furniture is a unique piece that is created by hand. The haptic quality of his furniture is particularly important for Eckehard Weimann. The touching of the pieces is expressly desired, they should have a practical use for the owner, but should touch him emotionally. Since 1994, his studio has been producing "individuals from wood". Some of these individuals are gently wavy, soft and sculpted, others appear edgy and rough. Often Eckehard Weimann hides the source material under a skin of paint and metal. He likes to experiment with unusual materials. Thus, some of his work is covered with metals such as gold, bronze or titanium... Weimann's handmade objects are the result of his precise experience in various craft disciplines, which combine the aesthetic concepts of a sculptor with the functional thinking of a furniture maker and master carpenter.
