About the Item
Marvelous Mid-Century dry bar with stool made in a gorgeous mix of bamboo, rattan, wicker and formica. This charming organic bar was designed by Tito Agnoli and made in Italy during the 1950s.
Fully original and in spectacular condition. This dry bar features a sturdy counter made in curved bamboo and wicker. The top is made in formica with a lovely bottle holder shelf in hand-woven wicker. The counter features two internal shelves, one in bamboo canes and the bottom one in walnut wood.
The front of the counter is enriched by two decorative red lacquered frames in curved rattan.
The counter is completed by its original hourglass shaped stool of outstanding quality, made in a mix of curved bamboo, rattan and hand-woven wicker. The stool is completed by a brand new cushion in red cotton velvet. Under request the bar can also be sold without the stool.
Fully hand-made with perfect proportions, this dry bar is a perfect example of Mid-Century Italian organic design.
A magnificent piece, perfect to complement a Mid-Century or a French Riviera style project.

Tito Agnoli
Prolific designer Tito Agnoli created imaginative furniture with a singular mix of natural and industrial materials. Designing in the modern and mid-century modern styles, he made sofas, armchairs and daybeds from leather, bamboo and rattan as well as metal table lamps and floor lamps.
Born into an Italian family in Peru in 1931, Agnoli studied at the Faculty of Architecture in Milan. In 1949, he graduated with a degree in architecture from Politecnico di Milano. While there, he became acquainted with designers Gio Ponti and Carlo De Carli. He later worked with them as an assistant, learning to create austere pieces with flawless dimensions.
Utilizing this knowledge, he developed his own practice and worked with many Italian producers, including Arflex, Cinova, Lema, Matteo Grassi, Molteni, Montina, Oluce, Pierantonio Bonacina, Poltrona Frau, Schiffini and Ycami.
Agnoli received prestigious nominations for the Compasso d’Oro award. At the 1986 NeoCon exhibition in Chicago, he won a gold medal. His works are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
