About the Item

1960s dry bar cart from the Danish manufacturer Dyrlund. The box-like trolley, with its smooth hardwood exterior, brass hardware, chrome castors, and rich navy blue interior lining, is exemplary of the sleek and functional pieces produced by Dyrlund since 1960. The enclosed nature of the cart has the effect of a jewellery box – giving it an air of drama whenever its glossy hardwood doors are opened to reveal what’s inside. The designer of this particular piece is unknown. Although, its distinct characteristics (namely the clever multifunctional surfaces and considered interior details) are reflective of similar bar trolley designs produced by Johannes Andersen and Knud Bent for Dyrlund during the mid 20th century.
