American Mahogany Acanthus Carved Linen Press. Norfolk, VA. Circa 1820

About the Item

American mahogany linen press with carved molded edge top, upper case flanking book matched doors, fitted interior shelving with drawers, and original brasses. Lower case has four graduated drawers with the original wooden knobs, carved side columns consisting of pineapple, basket weave, and acanthus motif, and terminating on on original lions paw feet. Secondary wood consist of poplar throughout. Norfolk, VA. Early 19th Century.
