Antique French carved dark oak secretary desk bureau drop front Louis XV style ~ Direct from France ~ A lovely antique French carved “drop front” secretary/desk with quintessential French style from top to bottom! ~ Carved oak French “drop front” or slant front has beautiful double beveled serpentine paneled top that opens to reveal a fitted desk interior with open cubbyholes and SIX drawers. and a large writing area. The writing area is supported by two pullout oak staffs tipped with brass pulls ~ Two full length drawers have carved serpentine paneled fronts, with dual original brass pulls, complimented by a carved serpentine apron and gorgeous carved cabriole legs! “OH SO FRENCH”! ~ Solid construction, dovetailed joinery, lovely oak finish & grain, well built by craftsmen of the period, ~ c 1920 Measurements 39.25” height x 37.5” x 16.5”. 26.5” leg clearance. Flat writing area, when opened, 22.75” x 31.75”. Note: All of our antiques are direct from Europe.
