Antique Stunning circa 1780 Jacobean Hand Carved Bureau Desk with Hunting Scene

We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare and highly collectable, ornately carved, circa 1780 Jacobean revival, Antique Library Bureau What a piece! Hand carved from every single angle, the bureau front has very old English writing all around with a hunting scene in the middle, starting from left to right and finishing at the bottom the desk says "Grace Ye" "May Peace E Plentie Ye" "Boarde" "Chase E Ye Merrie Companie" It is a truly stunning piece of art furniture that wouldn't look out of place in a museum Condition wise my french polisher has lightly restored it for me being sure to keep all the original wear and patiantion, it looks every bit the 240+ years it should which is to say stunning Dimensions Height:- 104cm Width:- 99cm Depth:- 50cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
