French Directoire Style Secrétaire in Cherry Wood, Orange & Dark Grey Lacquered
About the Item
This Secretary is a handmade modernized interpretation of the French Directoire style at the end of the 18th century. This period design is remarkable with its straight, classical and timeless lines.
It is made of French Solid Cherry wood. Its classical finish involves a cherrywood stain and a satin varnish.
The secretary features one upper drawer and three lower ones, brass knobs, a cream leather pad.
The main compartment consists of 4 smaller compartments and of one drop down door with key.
The inside is cream lacquered with blue painted borders.
The sourcing of the solid wood comes from sustainably managed French forests.

MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS is a new brand launched in September 2018 by Eric Weiler (founder) and Eric Gizard (designer). We deliver 100% made in France high-end and top quality furniture pieces. Main material is wood, mainly ash, oak and cherry. Our wood comes exclusively from sustainably managed French forests. The craft-handed manufacture in the Loire Countryside and Bretagne ensures robustness and a very long life cycle for each piece. All our models are already fully assembled in our workshops. Eric Gizard is a famous French Designer in Paris and works several Fashion and Luxury Brands. He sublimates with his very fluid and elegant design each piece of our collections EGEE and KUBE. More over and previous to the launch of MON PETIT MEUBLE FRANCAIS, in 2010, Eric Weiler took over an old cabinet-maker named GONTIER established in France since 1920. French Traditional pieces and new designed models from GONTIER are also proposed on 1st Dibs.
