paved "urn" secrétaire

About the Item

Beautiful "urn" secretaire panelled in rosewood with fruitwood fillets. The shape of the secretaire is highly elegant, with a three-tiered arrangement reflecting a balanced distribution of elements. At the top, a small drawer adds practicality and fine details. The central part features a door that, when opened, reveals nine small drawers, providing ample storage space. The presence of a sliding grissinated door creates an intriguing visual element, introducing a note of originality. The specific Tuscan provenance and the stylistic transition between Louis XV and Louis XVI suggest a fusion of distinctive decorative elements from both periods. It could feature sinuous curves and ornamental details typical of Rococo (Louis XV), along with more restrained, geometric lines associated with Neoclassicism (Louis XVI). Dimensions: 165x71x40 cm
