Rare Antique Regency Quality Mahogany Secretaire Sideboard

About the Item

Rare Antique Regency quality mahogany secretaire sideboard having a pleasing shaped gallery back with a quality mahogany drop well bow fronted top. The fall front centre bow fronted drawer opening to reveal a fully fitted interior of eight drawers with original turned knobs, pigeon holes and a secret storage compartment. The original leather writing surface is flanked by four mahogany cock beeded drawers and two cupboard doors with four dummy drawer fronts all with fantastic original ornate brass ring handles. It is standing on original mahogany turned tapering legs. A remarkable example which is special for so many reasons; the design and quality make it an exceptional sideboard with the extraordinary function of being a first class secretaire. It is truly a superior eye-catching statement piece. Measures: H 111.5cm W 132.5cm D 48cm H to fall 73cm H to middle section 97cm Date 1815.
