About the Item

New finds from a residence in Ibaraki pref., Japan. This vintage, open back rectangular shelving unit was manufactured in circa 1950s to 70s, estimate from the style & material. Made of solid red meranti wood (also called Red lauan / Philippine mahogany), it's durable & stable enough to store heavy objects. This piece is one of the "Ashed" line furnitures of my shop items - washed off the remained old vanish by the lye made from the hardwood ashes, then re-finished with homemade, water-based sheer matte polish mist made of beeswax & linseed oil. Not shiny, but touches are smooth. dimensions of each rectangular spaces : w 34.72 in / d 13.27 in / h 7.68 in (w 88.2cm / d 33.7cm / h 19.5cm) Dear customer - feel free to inquire me for the shipping fee quote.
