1950s Modernist French Iron with Perforated Metal Shelves Side Table
About the Item
Triangular perforated metal side table in the style of Mathieu Mategot, all original condition with a soft red and black finish, there is a distinctive patina to the finish giving it a rich character. The table has two shelves of equal size with a leg in the front with a welded round metal foot. The table was purchased by the client in the early 2000s from a shop that was in San Francisco that was called X-21 in The Mission District. The owner at the time John Conaty was making yearly trips to Europe to purchase unique objects, his shop was know across the country to collectors and vintage dealers alike for his amazing collection and his vision in its curation.
