1970s Brown Suede and Brass Shelving Unit
About the Item
A spectacular three tiered suede and brass shelving unit. Wrapped brown suede (Nubuck?) shelves with brass caps and rings. Circa 1975. This Post-Modern style is reminiscent of great clothing designers of the 1970s producing some fantastic decorative arts and home products like Pierre Cardin or Gucci. Each suede section, whether it's a standing upright or a horizontal piece, is meticulously stitched and accented with brass rings that make it look like a bamboo rod. The undersides of the top and bottom shelves are reinforced with flat brass stock.
Good overall condition and structurally sound and sturdy construction. There is some minor pitting and scratches on the brass ball corners. Minor dimples and bruising to the brass corners. The suede is in good condition with some minor scuffs, staining and some nicks to the fabric (see photos).
Approximately 22.5" deep x 22.5" wide x 44.5" high.
