French Art Nouveau Scrolled Wrought Iron and Glass Etagere

About the Item

Impressive French Art Nouveau wrought iron and glass shelves etagere. This is an old French department store display showcase. Imagine French housewares, ceramics, perfumes, plants or baked goods showcased on this beautiful shelf. Circa 1880-1900. Scrolled wrought iron frame with eleven (11) glass shelves. Each joint is carefully screwed or riveted and each terminus has a decorative twist or curl. Eight of the eleven shelves measure approximately 12" x 20". The three lower glass shelves measure approximately 15" x 20". Good overall condition with minor rust. Structurally sound and sturdy construction. All the joinery is intact. No visible restorations. Some scratches and minor edge chips to the glass shelves. A truly distinct piece that has a multitude of uses in the home or shop. Approximately 20.25" deep x 63.25" wide x 60" high.
