About the Item

19th Century French Original Cast Iron Butchers Large Shelving 19th Century French Original Cast Iron Butchers Large Shelving. Stunning original heavy weight shelving from a French butcher – boucherie. The shelves are a very practical size almost 2m in height and with 1m wide glass shelves. The main flat bar section of the shelves is forged steel but the intricate shelf supports are made from cast metal which has a thick heavy enamel coating, extraordinary. The glass shelves are new and are made from polished 6mm toughened glass. WORKSHOP REPORT Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
