Angle Shelf in Waxed Aluminium by Johan Viladrich
About the Item
The Angle Shelf is designed and produced by Johan Viladrich in his atelier in the South of France. Both functional and sculptural, the piece uses the walls to create a unique display. The design is minimal and focuses the attention on the curve connecting the two perpendicular sides. Each part is connected to the other with stainless steel bolts allowing for the piece to be flat-packed.
The vibrated finish of the surface is done only to bring out the natural aspect of aluminium and to create a subtle play with light that animates the object. The piece is then waxed to protect the aluminium from stains but still allow for a more natural aspect than what the anodising could provide.
Angle Shelf is designed and entirely made by Johan Viladrich, it consists of a limited edition of 30 pieces + 2 artist proofs.
Each piece is signed and numbered and professionally packed.
