Danish Mid Century Wall Unit with 8 Shelves, circa 1950 - 1960s

About the Item

Chic architectural wall unit having eight shelves, 5 smaller ( 36 W x 10 D inches ) and 2 wider ( 48 W x 10 D inches ). The shelves rest in metal brackets, which attach to the vertical supports. Each vertical has a spring mechanism tension top, which will hold the wall unit in place when pushing against the ceiling. Unusual design and construction, not often seen in this style of shelving. The metal brackets, and shelves are movable in position, making the configuration and spacing adjustable to your needs. The wall unit is in very good, original condition, showing only light cosmetic wear, normal and consistent with age. Design reminiscent of Poul Cadovius, this piece is unsigned.
