Imbuing objects with history and secrets guides all of Benoît Convers' work. With each creation, he proves that use can be enlivened by emotion, memory, and meaning by infusing objects with life and attributing them a hidden function.
In 2003, while working on a nomadic stool project, he was naturally inspired by his own dog: the same size, always by his side. Sultan marked the starting point for the iconic Mobilier de Compagnie collection.
Designer of more than 120 objects under the Ibride brand, he developed a design approach where the product generates no waste, benefits from simple assembly, and prioritizes local production. His greatest ambition is to design objects that are never parted with, so personal that they are embodied by their owner, objects that can be passed down.
