Unique Italian Renaissance style etagere stand, c. late 18th century. A masterfully crafted stand of figured walnut featuring a single paneled drawer with a finished interior and two shelves between Renaissance style end supports. A beautifully made piece joined with a type of mortise and tenon where the mortise part is cleverly hidden. The tray form top has two sturdy, carved handles and back lip edge. The walnut has rich color and interesting grain pattern with satin-like patina. A solid, high quality and versatile stand with nice detail.
