About the Item

The stunning Loop sideboards are available in a range of colours, including this striking Black version. The elegant Loop pattern is engraved by a CNC machine, onto the doors and handpainted in a choice of colours ncluding Gold, Blue, Dark blue/violet or Green. If you would like to customise the pattern colour, just let us know. The sides of the Black doored Loop sideboards are available in Walnut or Black. Each piece is finished by hand using a environmentally friendly hard wax oil to give a lovely mellow sheen. CoucouManou is a small Furniture design and manufacturing company based in the UK which uses pattern and colour in the designs resulting in some striking and elegant pieces of furniture. These long sideboards are made primarily from an environmentally friendly material called Valchromat. The doors have an elegant flowing ‘Loop’ pattern grooved onto them. It reminds us of contemporary Art Deco, a Chinese pattern or even a Mauri tattoo. Nell Beale, designer, maker and founder of CoucouManou, often mixes technology with traditional cabinet making skills in her work. The pattern is grooved onto the doors using a CNC router and then the grooves are handpainted by Nell. She joins, sands, paints, finishes and assembles all the pieces in her workshop near Bath in the South West of England. For the Black door cabinets, you have a choice of black or veneered walnut sides. Materials: Valchromat, walnut veneered FSC mdf stained black. Finish : Hard wax oil. Interior : 2 fixed central uprights and 3 adjustable shelves, one behind each door, in black valchromat. Central door hinge side must be specified, Left or Right. A walnut veneered back which is stained black for black sided pieces and left as natural walnut for those with walnut sides. Doors hung using concealed hinges and open with a push catch system.
