Early 20th Century Art Deco Oak and Coromandel Amsterdam School Sideboard Available to purchase a rare 20th century Art Deco sideboard made in Oak and Coromandel. The unit consists of a pair of sliding glass front doors to the upper section acting as a display cabinet with three heavy set lined drawers underneath. Here is some more detail about the fabric and history of the sideboard. What makes this item valuable is the inclusion of Coromandel wood within the item's make-up. The wood is called Coromandel, Calamander or Kalu-Medhiriya. It has been registered with the IUCN( International Union for the Conservation of Nature) as extinct or at least available in such small amounts it is on the verge of extinction.
