A breathtaking and (very) exotic sideboard credenza attributed to Giuseppe Scapinelli, crafted in 1950s Brazil. This showstopper will take center stage of any room with its six book-matched Brazilian Rosewood doors which have an exotic butterfly pattern and a very incredible and long deep grained Rosewood top that stretches just over 106 inches. Finished with even more exotic grained Brazilian Rosewood sides and surrounding trim all on top of a sculpted Caviuna base capped with brass sabots. This mesmerizing cabinet was recently sourced from Rio de Janeiro. Our team there acquired this piece from a home with several other documented Scapinelli designs, and after arriving to Los Angeles, we refinished it with a beautiful French Polish which is the most expensive and labor intensive finish due to the number hand applied and polished coats of lacquer. But the result is nothing short of spectacular - providing this eye catching statement piece with a thick protective coat to withstand regular daily use and makes the exotic wood grain really pop like nothing else in this world. Inside of this monumentally sized cabinet are two storage areas with shelves and one center storage area with four pull out drawers. The insides are finished with a high quality blonde wood and brass hardware; one way to tell if a Mid-Century Modern or Art Deco case piece was made to be a luxury item is how well the interior was crafted, and this piece exudes high-quality and maximum-luxury.
