Gustavian Gray Painted Sideboard Buffet, Sweden circa 1860-80
About the Item
Swedish Gustavian gray painted pine sideboard with attractive curved sides and carved fluted details throughout panel doors and drawers.
It is the curves of the far right and left drawers and doors that create the visual appeal of this lovely buffet.
The newer professionally applied marbled and muted gray painted finish beautifully compliments the age and grace of this tall sideboard. Please enlarge photos to appreciate the layers of color and textured effect (see final photo/close up of top).
Restored, this sideboard is strong, stable and ready to be used and enjoyed. Keys are included to use as pulls only (locks do not function). Brass knobs are used on the outer two top drawers.
Any scratches, cracks, dings, or age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely buffet.
