Italian Modern Red Sideboard Sheraton by Stoppino and Acerbis for Acerbis, 1977

About the Item

Italian modern Red Sideboard Sheraton by Giotto Stoppino and Lodovico Acerbis for Acerbis, 1977 Sideboard mod. Sheraton in glossy lacquered wood in bright red and black. The rectangular top has a bevelled front edge. On the front it has 4 black wooden drawers and 3 compartments with glass shelves and chromed metal profiles. The peculiarity of the sideboard is in its double opening: combines sliding and hinged opening. Produced by Acerbis International in 1980s and designed by Giotto Stoppino and Lodovico Acerbis in 1977. Winner of the Compasso D'Oro in 1979 for its double opening. Logo and label present. Very good general conditions. Very slight sign of use. Measurements in cm 280 x 49 x 70h A container with unusually wide doors that can be opened thanks to an exclusive system, a "sliding" door, which combines sliding and hinged opening. Sheraton has introduced a new relationship between a closed piece of furniture of extreme simplicity and formal purity, and an open piece of furniture of total usability, even with sliding and aligned doors. Since 1977, an icon of design, out of time and out of fashion.
