Luigi Gorgoni for Roche Bobois Sideboard in Solid Elm

About the Item

Luigi Gorgoni for Roche Bobois, sideboard, solid elm, France, 1980s The Italian designer and architect Luigi Gorgoni designed furniture pieces for Roche Bobois since the mid 1970s. Gorgoni is known for its streamlined and clear designs, this piece is therefore also completely free of decorations. All attention goes to the essential function, form and material. This sideboard has an utterly well-balanced construction embracing a great sense of proportions. Four door panels structure the front and feature a concave shape above to make space for the extended drawer. This curved shape is echoed in the corners of the top, contributing to the balanced appearance. A natural and serene look is created by the elm's properties, showcasing vivid grains and a pleasant warm tone. Please note that this item is in good, used condition with traces of age and use, including scratches and imperfections in the wood. For further details, we encourage you to reach out to our team of design specialists.
