1800s Dutch Oak Vitrine
About the Item
The silhouette of this antique oak vitrine evokes the lavish beauty of the Baroque. Built in the Netherlands circa 1800, serpentine drawers are crowned by an arched cabinet. The panes of the mullioned glass descend in delicate lace-like cascades to reveal a cream-painted interior, evoking the layered skirts of the era. The exterior of the case has been restored to reveal the natural refinement of organic oak, feathered with a subtle grain.
