Custom-Built Wood & Concrete Display Case by Neil Homstead for Alusha Design

$44,000

About

Designed and crafted in Florence, Massachusetts in 1981, this one of a kind gem was custom built as a jewelry display. Art nouveau inspired, featuring bentwood details and ornate, insect- and fauna-themed stained glass as well as custom surrealist influenced paintings; a real one of a kind treasure. Retains some original concept sketches as well as correspondence between the artist and client. An incredibly conceived and executed construction in a monumental scale. A wonderfully sculptural, unique storage concept.
