Early 20th Century Italian Vintage Showcase in Painted Wood and Glass

Gorgeous antique showcase of fine French manufacture, created for English colonists, belonging to the 1800s. This stunning display case is made entirely of a very fine dark wood, fabulously crafted and embellished. There are 4 feet to support the structure, S-shaped in fine wood, black in color, very durable. The feet are decorated with simply fantastic wooden spheres. Above we see a rectangular frame decorated like a frieze, with various squiggles and wooden spheres that go to create bunches of grapes, which give a really beautiful and scenic effect. Going up we see two window opening doors, very beautiful, with spherical wooden handles. The decorations are located in the center of the rectangle of the sash: the subject is a flowering tree branch with a sweet little bird perched on it, supreme nature prevails. This important cabinet is made by fine Italian manufacture in the ‘50s. It was exhibited at La Permanente Mobili Cantù. The beautiful cabinet is made of fine walnut and grissinato wood: the darker wood is the grissinato and it is used to decorate also four doors. The cabinet has several useful compartments. In the lower part there are two double-door tall storage compartments one of which has a clothes-hanging rail and a shelf above it, and the other has hanging rails, a shelf and four drawers. Both of them have a full-length mirror. Additionally, there are four smaller storage compartments that are still very capacious with shelves and ties hangers...

Very rare antique closet dating from the Rococo period of the 1700s, made of walnut wood with brass details, very elegant, fine Italian manufacture. The antique closet is totally made of the finest walnut wood. The base is supported by 4 square feet, placed diagonally, which create a very fine angle. Their workmanship is reminiscent of that of capitals, given the curly detail present on each of them. The wooden base supports the central body of the cabinet composed of a clear glass display case, set into the wood. On the frame is a brass lock. Inside the display case we find a storage space also complete with two drawers below. A brass bar in patina is present. The centerpiece of the closet is its top: it is finely crafted through shapely and sinuous decorations. There are 4 ornamental capitals, one for each corner of the cabinet, also placed diagonally. The top is decorated with a finely worked and curved frieze, also made of walnut wood. On the two front capitals are two decorative wooden structures, reminiscent of those on an ancient cup...
