Americana 1940s Weathered Armoire with Pine Shelves + Clothing Bar
About the Item
Natural patina wear patterns serve as the main decorative element to the exterior of this solid wood, American oak armoire. Recently fitted with removable natural pine shelves; original clothing bar remains (pictured). Large drawer at base; brass key hardware (key not available). Left door maintains functional metal locking mechanism to interior base of door; simple, exterior mounted, wood twist lock holds right door closed in tension.
The painterly effect of time to the surfaces is what we appreciate about this piece. A handsome, Minimalist form, without extraneous ornamentation gives a stance and stature that feels solid and lends an immediate tone to any space.
Perfect in a bedroom for clothing, a bath for towels and toiletries, a pantry, filled with beautiful glass jars filled with a gardener's bounty, or an entry hall for all of life's useful elements.
